Ready Freddie Go wins for his shareholders on the second occasion this season at Thirsk

'Freddie' repeats the dose at Thirsk

Ready Freddie Go

Ready Freddie Go has already won a Class 4 race at Thirsk this season, and on Sunday he added another Class 4 five furlong handicap to his collection of wins.

Ollie Pears has handled this gelding superbly well to win in FOUR times from only twelve runs. Jockey Harry Russell reported the gelding made things easy for him, apart from a moment when Freddie looked up at the crowd when they roared him home in the final furlong. The apprentice managed to get Freddie's attention back on the job and he made sure the gelding's head was in front at the line. We can expect to see him running in more handicaps on the grass through the summer months. Harry was particularly happy that the horse dug deep and was nicely on top by the time the line came. He actually recorded a double on the day, with a subsequent winner.

Shares in this lovely gelding are sold out, but we have a few others available in the same yard - but they are going fast!

You can watch the replay of the race below - look out for the Ownaracehorse blue and yellow colours on the stands side throughout! Harry Russell rides.
