Smashing Lass: all steam ahead for York in June

Our first 2YO runner of the season runs a nice debut at Redcar

Smashing Lass

Redcar run shows promise and now Smashing Lass will go to York

Our breeze-up buy Smashing Lass ran a really promising race at Redcar. She was terribly green on debut but showed that she has some pace and ability by passing five horses in the last furlong and a half.

Smashing Lass was bought from the Doncaster Breeze-ups only a month ago and was having her first race at Redcar on May 21st. The filly came through horses late on over six furlongs after dwelling in the stalls and being very green in the first three furlongs.

This filly by Sir Prancealot cost GBP 10,000 and has two winning siblings. She will now head to York on June 15th and go for the Rous Stakes, a £15,000 added race at York as her follow-up run. This race is also over six furlongs.

We still have some small shares left in the filly, and we have a good deal on 10% outright private service shares as well. She looks sure to improve after her first run and it looks like it could be a great day out at York.
