Great start to the flat: Ready Freddie Go wins at the second time of asking at Thirsk for his shareholders

A great performance sees 'Freddie' dominate at Thirsk

Ready Freddie Go

Ready Freddie Go did well for his shareholders in his 2YO season, but now his turf campaign has kicked off he has managed to record his first win as a 3YO for shareholders. On May 1st 2021 Freddie came with a surge over one and a half furlongs out to beat some fancied horses in a Class 4 five furlong handicap.

Ollie Pears trains this good looking, long striding individual who is a half-brother to Roaring Rory (now enjoying his retirement in the Dales). Jockey Ben Robinson reported he ran as straight as an arrow and was always the best horse in the race - and there is more to come! He believes there improvement available in the 3YO and we can expect to see him running in more handicaps on the grass through the summer months. Ben was particularly happy that the horse dug deep and was well on top by the time the line came.

Shares in this lovely gelding are sold out, but we have a few others available in the same yard - but they are going fast!

You can watch the replay of the race below - look out for the Ownaracehorse blue and yellow colours! Ben Robinson rides.
